Visit the Historical Medical Library of The College of Physicians of Philadelphia and view a sampling of staff favorites from the collection, as well as items from the Library's upcoming exhibition in the Mütter Museum, Divine Monstrosities. College Librarian Beth Lander will discuss recent staff and programmatic changes in the Library, as well as its future as an interactive space for Museum visitors.
Perhaps see some memorabilia from the chapter's own archives. (Did you know CPP hosts it?)
Greet MLA-Philadelphia chapter friends and make a few new ones. Get acquainted with the new chapter officers.
Hot and cold appetizers will be provided. Registration fee: $10.00.
Registration deadline: 10/31. Advance registration is required for attendance. Walk-ins cannot be accepted. Maximum number of participants: 20.
Note: Admission to the Mütter Museum is not a part of this event. Visit at your own leisure, perhaps in the afternoon before our event?
Public Transportation: SEPTA Suburban Station or 30th Street Station. CPP is between both.
Parking: There is a lot directly behind the College off of 21st St at the intersection with Ludlow St. There are also lots off Market Street within easy walking distance.
