Our Vision:

The Medical Library Association (MLA) Liberty Chapter serves the people of Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and the Philadelphia region of Pennsylvania by improving access to quality information that supports the delivery of health care, the education of health professionals, the conduct of health-related research and the public’s understanding of health. We work together and interact with other professional organizations to influence the quality of information and to provide timely, accurate, and relevant information. We are committed to enhancing the knowledge and skills of our membership; to developing and maintaining information systems and resources; to broadening health information research; and to promoting a legislative agenda that supports these values.

History:

The year of 2021 culminated in the debut of the new MLA Liberty Chapter. This new chapter, a blending of the NY/NJ and Philadelphia chapters, is the outcome of many years of work to bring the two chapters (and the three areas of Delaware, NY/NJ, and Philadelphia) together.
