Keynote Speaker: Stephanie Fendrick, FACHE, MBA

Stephanie Fendrick, FACHE, MBA, is executive vice president and chief strategy officer at Virtua Health. She leads the formulation, development, and advancement of Virtua Health’s growth and transformation strategy across multiple service lines and for the entire health system. She also explores, develops, and manages relationships with other providers and organizations that support Virtua’s strategic imperatives.

Fendrick’s expansive health care experience makes her uniquely qualified to oversee Virtua’s enterprise-wide growth initiatives, service-line strategy, and key partnerships – including clinical collaborations with Penn Medicine and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Fendrick also oversees Virtua’s digital transformation and community-based programs, which encompasses the award-winning “Eat Well” food-access initiative.

Fendrick earned her Bachelor of Arts at Franklin and Marshall College and her MBA with a concentration in health services from the Duke University Fuqua School of Business.

Chris Duffy, MLIS, AHIP

Chris Duffy, MLIS, AHIP, is Associate Dean of the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine (HMSOM) and vice president, Medical Library Services for Hackensack Meridian Health. He’s published in Academic Medicine, Medical Science Educator, and Medical Teacher and was named a Champion of Humanistic Care from The Gold Foundation in 2021. He holds his MLIS from Rutgers University and Bachelor's degree from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.

Miriam Hoffman, MD

Miriam Hoffman, MD, is the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine in Nutley, NJ. There she was the founding Associate Dean of Medical Education where she has led the development of the educational program comprehensively driven by the school’s mission.  Dr. Hoffman’s goal is to align medical education curricula with the health outcomes of populations and individuals, including addressing health inequities.  The HMSOM curriculum utilizes the Determinants of Health – all the factors that impact health outcomes – as the frame for the entire curriculum.  Dr. Hoffman completed her Residency in Family Medicine at Columbia University, received her MD from Weill Medical College of Cornell University, and her BA from Johns Hopkins University.
